Founded in 1988, ID Data is recognised today as being one of Europe's largest providers of plastic card solutions. ID Data is listed on the London Stock Exchange alternative investment market.

In May 1999, ID Data acquired GPT Card Technology from GEC Marconi, a worldwide player in the supply of high technology cards. This was followed by the purchase of McCorquodale Card Technology from Rexam Plc, to enhance capability of the group.

To deliver solutions to the financial sector through TTi, ID Data has created a Centre Of Excellence based in Lewes, UK. This extensively equipped facility has the capability to print and manufacture the card body, mill the card body, implant a module and pre-personalise plus fully personalise the card in the same location under fully accredited scheme conditions.

This facility already produces 30 million smart cards a year for world-wide distribution.

Personalisation services is a core capability of ID Data. Typically in one year ID Data delivers 80 million mailings out of the facility in Corby, UK. All financial sector bureau services will be delivered through Corby where a Scheme accredited bureau facility has been established.

Card production will be delivered through ID Data in Lewes, UK. Significant investment at Lewes now delivers a state of the art, secure scheme accredited, card production facility, capable of producing over 170 million cards per year.

ID Data continues to deliver, end to end loyalty solutions to the major retailers in the UK and across Europe, telephone cards to seventy countries world-wide, and the latest Phase 3 GSM products. ID Data is committed to supporting the financial sector through TTi Card Technology.
