TTi has
the ability to produce smart card and magnetic stripe card
both in the UK, China and Japan. Significant module production
and card manufacturing capacity is available to TTi to best
meet its customer's requirements, whilst providing very real
and effective contingency supply arrangements for what are
mission-critical supply contracts.
TTi has
a multi-site production facility in the UK for European requirements.
The principle card and smartcard manufacturing plant is at Lewes in Sussex,
which is equipped with the latest digital pre-press, litho
and screen-printing and card production equipment.
Lewes is the UK's
largest facility to mill, embed and encode smartcards under secure
card scheme conditions.
Recent
investment will ensure this facility remains one of the most
modern and efficient in the UK, with the highest levels of
security.
TTi also
has a number of silicon and mask production facilities throughout
the world and is the fourth largest producer of silicon. Currently,
the chips for banking applications are manufactured in Japan
in Oita with the Iwate plant acting as contingency.
TTi also
manufacture IC modules at a number of plants in Japan. The
main production facility for the IC modules used by TTi is
at Kawasaki.
Card production
facilities to produce card bodies and to mill, embed and pre-personalise
smart cards are also available to TTi from a number of plants
which have card scheme approval. TTi delivers world-wide contingency
facilities. In Asia contingency is provided through the joint venture
partners. In Europe TTi has a network of partners with
reciprocal contingency agreements already in place
